Position Overview
University Park within University Health Services (UHS). Monday‑Friday schedule with occasional Saturday hours as needed.
75% full‑time equivalency (FTE) with months off determined by the position’s FTE percentage. Salary grade and range listed are based on a 100% full‑time position. Full‑time equivalency job offers may fall outside the listed range due to the assigned percentage of effort. This position is eligible for benefits associated with any full‑time position.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Assessment & Care
- Review patient medical history and perform comprehensive physical examinations.
- Provide healthcare services and patient education aimed at preventing health issues and promoting overall wellness.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient management and treatment plans.
- Counsel and educate patients and their families regarding health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
Procedures & Medical Expertise
- Perform essential medical and minor surgical procedures as required.
- Deliver a variety of acute medical interventions and manage urgent health concerns.
Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Exchange clinical information and ensure continuity of care within the broader healthcare system.
- Coordinate with case managers and Workers' Compensation representatives for injury‑related cases.
Operational & Organizational Support
- Maintain awareness of healthcare funding sources and payment systems to provide cost‑effective care.
- Serve on committees, task forces, and working groups as assigned.
- Provide training and educational support for staff and may contribute to the education of interns and medical students.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives that advance the delivery of high‑quality care.
Master's Degree, 2+ years of relevant experience.
Required
Certifications:
Registered Nurse Practitioner – Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
This position requires PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
