Registered Nurse – Perioperative Nursing

Schedule:

8 hr shifts M-F; rotate thru ,  and ; call and weekend opportunities available.

Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited registered nurse program required; BSN preferred.
• 2 years prior Operating Room experience required.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse.
• Meets American Heart Association standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years.
• Meets American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and renews ACLS every two years.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a comprehensive plan of care for patients undergoing surgical intervention.
• Ensure the creation and maintenance of a sterile field during procedures and adhere to aseptic principles.
• Recognize changes in patient status and implement appropriate interventions to ensure patient safety.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding surgical procedures and nursing functions.
• Document patient interactions and changes in plan of care accurately.
• Maintain professional competency by staying current with the latest practices and advancements in perioperative nursing.
