Registered Nurse - Women and Children's Services

Schedule

Days, ; 3 shifts per week with weekend work required approximately every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Women and Children's Services is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to childbearing women, neonates, and their families. This role involves assessing health needs, creating care plans, implementing nursing interventions, and evaluating patient outcomes to provide optimal care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and family developmental levels, health status, and history.
• Perform initial assessments and stabilization of neonates.
• Develop individualized care plans based on identified needs.
• Provide education on self-care and newborn care to patients and families.
• Support family dynamics and promote healthy relationships.
• Identify at-risk families and intervene to prevent health problems.
• Promote a safe and healthy environment for reproductive health and recovery.
• Maintain professional knowledge and competencies through continuous education.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Completion of an accredited registered nurse program is required.
• Current Pennsylvania RN licensure.
• BLS certification, renewed every two years.
• NRP certification, renewed every two years.
• ACLS certification, renewed every two years.
• Experience with EPIC software is mandatory.
