* At our State College site, teams design, manufacture, and service diagnostic medical ultrasound transducers (probes) used across a wide range of clinical applications including surgery, urology, cardiology, and radiology. As a high-mix, low-volume, regulated manufacturing environment, the site combines advanced engineering, precision manufacturing, and lifecycle support to deliver critical imaging technology that enables clinicians to make real-time decisions in patient care.

* Role Summary
- Description:
Engineering Technician will perform testing related to Reliability,
Reprocessing, Biocompatibility and Chemical Compatibility for our ultrasound products. Engineering Technician will work directly with Engineers and other Engineering Technicians supporting Product Design and Development.
Responsibilities
- Key Responsibilities /Essential Functions Include:
1. Comply with EHS regulations and policies.
2. Follow established written test protocols and document details of testing, using established Good Documentation Practice
3. Ensure the creation of accurate, complete and timely records.
4. Operate laboratory test and processing equipment such as Reprocessing Systems, ovens, cameras, microscopes, Robots, scales, vacuum pumps, and various other inspection equipment.
5. Utilize standard medical industry cleaning, disinfection and sterilization techniques for ultrasound probes
6. Perform other tasks supporting New Product Development, Design Improvement, Sustaining and Maintenance as needed
Qualifications
- Quality Specific Goals:
1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
4. Ensures the creation of accurate, complete and timely records.
Required Qualifications:
1. Associates Degree, or High School diploma and 2 years technical, manufacturing, or quality experience
2. Proficiency to understand and interpret basic written technical information and instructions
3.
Demonstrated proficiency to utilize computerized work systems
4. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
5. Ability to communicate using local language.
6. Demonstrated ability to work well with general direction and information
7. Ability to learn new tasks quickly
8. Good manual dexterity
9. Good attention to detail.
10. Must be able to work independently / self-motivated.
