Clinical Research, Research Assistant/Associate
POSITION SPECIFICS
Dr. Kristina Petersen’s lab in the Department of Nutritional Sciences is seeking a Human Research Technologist to support externally funded clinical trials investigating dietary interventions and risk factors for heart disease and diabetes.
This position is funded for 1 year(s); continuation past 1 year(s) will be based on university need, performance, and/or availability of funding.
ABOUTTHE ROLE
This position will support the coordination of clinical trials conducted in the lab.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Coordinating participant recruitment
- Conducting telephone and clinic-based screenings
- Coordinating data collection visits
- Scheduling participant visits
- Managing participant flow throughout the trials
- Completing research-related administrative tasks
Due to the nature of the role, this position works primarily onsite at the University Park campus in State College, PA. To accommodate participant scheduling, standard work hours are Monday
- Friday 6:45 a.m.
- 3:45 p.m.
- Prior experience conducting human subjects research (required)
- Prior experience with clinical trial coordination (highly desired)
- Reliability and a proactive approach to assigned responsibilities
- Strong task-management and organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a research team
- Strong organizational and time-management skill.

SALARY & BENEFITSThe salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $40,608.00 - $64,668.00.
