Join our culinary team as a Prep Cook at Barrel 21 Distillery and Dining, where you will play a crucial role in the food preparation process. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with a passion for the food industry to ensure the seamless execution of our menu offerings.

• Collaborate with the kitchen staff to prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and storing food items.
• Assist in menu planning by ensuring all necessary ingredients are readily available.
• Execute food preparation tasks according to set recipes and standards to guarantee quality dishes.
• Adhere to proper food handling and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Support the culinary team in maintaining inventory levels and minimizing waste.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, and mixers proficiently and safely.
• Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively with colleagues and chefs.
• Assist in meal preparation during peak hours to ensure timely service.
• Rotating Freight and checking in deliveries.

• Previous experience in the food industry or a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and basic culinary techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
• Proficiency in using kitchen tools such as knives and other equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes and kitchen procedures.
• Certification from a culinary program or relevant training is a plus.
