Accu Weather’s Climate Ready™ Risk Mitigation, launched in January 2022, helps companies, municipalities, and organizations worldwide prepare for the impact of climate change. The offering leverages Accu Weather’s insights to assess climate impacts through risk scenarios up to 2100 for client locations or designated market areas. The product uses high-resolution historical weather and climate data, over 300 weather parameters, peer‑reviewed climate change models, and accurate weather forecasts to provide detailed, actionable projections.

As a Product Manager – Climate Services, you will enhance the capabilities of this new feature while ensuring scalability and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate as the subject matter expert for climate‑related products, supporting the exploration and realization of solutions that drive Accu Weather’s next generation technologies and services.
  • Establish and manage scientific goals, implementing rapid prototyping and development in a cloud‑based environment.
  • Conduct research across the Climate Services competitive landscape to understand differences in underlying data, platform capabilities, and pricing.
  • Create the roadmap of new features for Climate Services.
  • Collaborate with Design to apply UX/UI best practices for client‑facing outputs.
  • Define strategy for integrating Climate Services into Accu Weather’s B2B product environment.
  • Support Sales and Business in defining the pricing strategy.
  • Represent product team in client and prospective customer meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Atmospheric Science, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience with weather‑related products is also considered.
  • Expertise in ingesting, manipulating, and analyzing weather datasets.
  • Experience supporting the creation and/or maintenance of weather products.
  • Experience with climate‑related products is a strong differentiator.
  • Innovative mindset with a desire to work on varied projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team‑oriented, participating in daily stand‑ups and brainstorming sessions.
