* State College, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries, such as Government Buildings and more. As a Part-Time, Armed Security Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by conducting routine patrols throughout the site that you're assigned to. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to all individuals on site.

Position Type:

Pay Rate: $29.80 / Hour

Age Requirement:
- All candidates must be at least 21 years of age to be considered for employment (C101).
Experience Requirements:
- Candidates must meet one of the following experience criteria:
- A minimum of 3 years of combined experience in law enforcement, corrections, or military service.
- Alternatively, candidates may qualify with a minimum of 5 years of armed security experience (C158).
Act 235 Qualification:
- Candidates applying for positions in Pennsylvania must possess a valid Act 235 qualification (C134). This certification is essential for roles that require the carrying of firearms.
Concealed Carry Weapons Permit:
- Candidates must hold a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit (C121) if the position requires the carrying of a concealed firearm.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
- Preserve order and enforces rules, regulations, and directives for the viability of the site.
- Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons.
- Greet guests and employees, assisting where appropriate; escort visitors and contractors, secure ingress and egress points, secure classified information.
- Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders, reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and verbal communication; interact with client and/or other security personnel regarding order execution when appropriate.
- Respond to and assesses security alarms or emergency alarms; act as a first responder in emergency situations and provide first aid as necessary.
Minimum Requirements:
* Must be able and willing to travel up to 40 miles from the Greater State College, PA area.- Act 235 Qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania only.
- Must have a PA Concealed Carry Weapons permit.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have 2+ years combined of Armed Security / Law Enforcement / Armed Corrections or the equivalent.
