Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer II to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of an advanced hybrid software system, provide technical guidance, and support strong team communication within a SAFe Agile development environment. The position is onsite in State College, PA
.
- Execute multiple aspects of the systems engineering full‑life‑cycle process, including requirements decomposition into software functions, system performance analysis and trade studies, and oversight of software development, system integration, and test activities to ensure system requirements closure.
- Interact with the agile development team regarding technical considerations, risks, and issue closure related to the development of system capabilities.
- Analyze and define requirements for software releases; work with the Requirements Manager to maintain up‑to‑date traceability matrices; assist in creating and managing a project schedule based on development and release activities.
- Collaborate with the Systems Engineering Team and developers to ensure software and system needs are being supported and coordinate additional assistance when needed.
- Contribute to testing, training, and implementation of new platform technologies and code‑quality methodologies.
- Assist agile teams with best practices for software development in a Continuous Integration / Continuous Development (CI/CD) environment.
- Multi‑task, adapt to rapidly changing circumstances, network effectively, communicate to appropriate organizational levels, and drive processes to successful completion supporting project schedules.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience in at least one phase of the systems‑engineering lifecycle (e.g., requirements analysis, system design, implementation support, integration, verification & validation, deployment, or maintenance of large software systems).
- Experience with agile software development activities, including requirements specification, integration testing, and full life‑cycle verification activities.
- Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued DOD TS/SCI security clearance prior to start date; ability to obtain a polygraph after start.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Experience interacting with programmatic and technical representatives for presentations.
- Background in SIGINT, GEOINT, or Multi‑INT Intelligence Community with end‑user mission experience.
- Maintaining technical cost and schedule for systems‑engineering and software integration activities.
- Experience in a large multi‑disciplined engineering team.
- Experience with cloud‑based software architecture and systems.
- Experience developing MBSE design and DoDAF operational views for system overview.
- CompTIA Security+ Certification – Linux.
- Proficiency with Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.) and evaluation of COTS/FOSS applications.
Onsite in State College, PA. Eligible for relocation assistance.
Compensation and BenefitsSalary range: 68,900
USD–131,100
USD (range estimate).
