Job Summary
HRI, Inc., a leader in heavy civil construction since 1947, has an opening for an experienced and energetic Triaxle Drivers. HRI has many openings for Drivers in its Bellefonte and Muncy locations. The position is within our Highway Road Construction, where we are a leader in asphalt paving, products, and general heavy civil construction.
Main Responsibilities
- Applies safety guidelines linked to their activities including wearing Personal Protective Equipment.
- Prepares for work: analysis of information concerning the scope of work, transfer of vehicles to the construction site, installation of construction site signs, and provision of access roads in compliance with traffic rules for safe work.
- Ensures proper adjustment of equipment and vehicles before operation.
- Carries out the work by operating the vehicles according to required authorizations and ensuring safety.
- Carries out work based on precise directives from their hierarchy.
- Maintains vehicles: cleaning and verification after use, standard upkeep (minor repairs) in observance of company environmental guidelines and regulations; notifies manager in case of anomalies.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver's license with the ability to maintain a clean driving history
Skills
- The qualified candidates will have a Class A or B CDL
- Applicants must be able to work varying shifts and long hours depending on market demands
Physical Requirements
- Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by company safety guidelines
- Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
- Regularly required to use hands to move and manipulate objects
- Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear)
- Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Standing/working on feet for long periods, and walking across uneven terrain
- Frequent exposure to loud noise
- Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles
- Regularly exposed to fuel, oil, and other chemicals
- Required to work varying hours, including nights/weekends; overtime as required
- Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements
- Proven track record of working safely
- Good work ethic, professional, and positive attitude
- Some travel might be required
- Must comply with all DOT regulations
