Job Summary: Life Flight operates eight SPIFR EC145s and one BK117C1. Competitive salary and benefits plus relocation assistance (case by case). $25,000 bonus for pilots and 1.5× base salary for extra shifts. Responsibilities include safe and efficient conduct of flight assignments for patient transport.
Responsibilities- Plan flight assignments and obtain briefing information regarding purpose, weather, operating procedures, and special instructions.
- Conduct start‑of‑shift briefing with medical, communications, and ground personnel.
- Ensure the aircraft is pre‑flight ready per the General Operating Manual: inspected, loaded, equipped, fueled, and staffed.
- Supervise loading and distribution of cargo and passengers, ensuring weight and balance within prescribed limits.
- Secure cargo, verify emergency equipment aboard, and file, activate, and close flight plans.
- Complete flight logs, records, and maintenance forms and review the aircraft discrepancy log before flight.
- Log mechanical discrepancies as they occur and inform maintenance personnel.
- Notify the Life Flight Communications Center of aircraft service status.
- Participate in post‑flight debriefings and maintain current navigation charts.
- Maintain proficiency as Pilot‑in‑Command and in SPIFR operations.
- FAA commercial pilot certificate with instrument rating, minimum 2000 total hours or 1500 with ATP rating.
- Helicopter time: 1000 hrs; 75 hrs PIC time of which at least 50 hrs were actual flight.
- Helicopter turbine time: 1000 hrs, 500 hrs; cross‑country 100 hrs; night flight 100 hrs.
- Minimum 75 hrs actual or simulated instrument time, 50 hrs actual flight.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1 year related work experience (preferred).
7 days on / 7 days off. $25,000 annual bonus. 1.5× base salary for extra shifts.

Work is performed in a patient‑care environment aboard aircraft and in aircraft hangar areas. Exposure to infectious disease, chemical toxins, noise, vibration, jet fumes, and extreme temperatures. Requires sitting for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and compliance with flight gear weight limits. Travel may be required.
Required physical: FAA Class II flight physical.
