Warehouse Associate, Material Handler, Distribution/ General Warehouse, Forklift Operator
GE Health Care is seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Associate II to join our Receiving team. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and efficient intake of goods, contributing directly to our operational excellence. The position involves working within a small, localized warehouse with a fast-paced environment. Experience with Oracle GLPROD and eDHR is a plus.
Essential Responsibilities- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists for accuracy and damage.
- Document discrepancies, damages, or shortages and report them to the appropriate personnel.
- Accurately sort, count, label, and store incoming materials and products in designated warehouse locations.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
- Collaborate with other warehouse departments to ensure smooth workflow and accurate inventory.
- Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.
- High school diploma or local equivalent/GED.
- Minimum 1‑year related experience.
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
- Proficient in basic mathematics.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others.
- Consistently capable of lifting 35 lbs. alone; any weight over 35 lbs. requires assistance.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and documentation.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in storing and receiving.
- Knowledge of computerized material flow methods.
- Basic knowledge of quality and inventory control.
- Oracle GLPROD and eDHR experience is a plus.
