Join Our Team as a Program Coordinator/Court Liaison

EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 79,000 people through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a dedicated full time Program Coordinator/Court Liaison to join the Abusive Partner Intervention Program (APIP) on Staten Island.
- Wage: $33 per hour
- Schedule: Monday
- Friday: 9AM-5PM - Location: 120 Stuyvesant Place (Suite 410), Staten Island NY 10301
The Program Coordinator/Court Liaison provides screening, treatment planning, monitoring, case management, court reporting and group facilitation of eligible DV cases.
What are the key Responsibilities:
- Act as liaison to the courts, provide case-finding and screening services for domestic violence cases and establish an in-person relationship with the relevant court actors.
- Complete treatment planning to address the employment skills and training needs, educational needs, housing needs, alcohol/substance dependency, mental health needs, and physical health needs of clients and assist clients in achieving their treatment plan goals and completing their plea responsibilities.
- Conduct assessment and orientation sessions for participants referred to the program following the program curriculum.
- Schedule participants for sessions and maintain participant attendance.
- Handle a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks for the Program Director.
- Coordinate collection, maintenance and correction of data and reporting.
- Co-facilitate themed batterer intervention sessions utilizing control logs, assignments, and exercises.
- Distribute letters of attendance.
- Attend trainings/meetings as scheduled.
- Act as a backup for the Program Director.
- Maintain case documentation available for review by supervision at any time, i.e. client records, including progress notes and all other relevant information to assist clients and to comply with program requirements.
- Follow up with all program referrals and confirm client attendance.
- Maintain a caseload of clients and monitor their participation through case management appointments, reviewing progress reports and conferencing cases.
- Prepare and present written and oral status reports to the criminal justice system in a timely manner regarding client's progress.
- Investigate and arrange supportive services for clients.
- Provide crisis intervention and address emergencies related to housing, food, medical needs, and any concrete need as presented by client.
- Conduct drug testing on clients of the program as needed.
- Recruit and train volunteers and interns and assist with training new hires.
- Perform all other relevant duties as determined by Supervision and EAC Network Administration.
- Associates degree in a helping profession or educational equivalent and experience working in intervention programs with criminal justice involved participants and at least 1 year experience working in the courts and/or criminal justice system.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to work cooperatively with treatment providers and criminal justice systems.
- Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.
- Ability to handle difficult situations in a professional manner manifesting sound judgment and resourcefulness.
