Key Responsibilities Conducts clinical quality assurance reviews of daily clinical validation audits and communicates with initial auditors on differing decisions Applies healthcare auditing principles and objectivity in medical audit activities and reviews Mentors other QA auditors and may flex into initial audit or appeals roles as needed
Required Qualifications Associates or Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Health Information Management (RHIA or RHIT) or equivalent experience of 5+ years in claims auditing Coding Certification (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CIC preferred; CCDS or CPC candidates must obtain inpatient coding certification within one year) 3-5 years of healthcare auditing or related experience Ability to mentor staff and enhance auditor performance Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
