Assisted Living is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) / ALP Coordinator to oversee medical services, quality assurance, and nursing coordination within our Assisted Living Program (ALP).
This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality care, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, and resident health oversight while working closely with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and coordinate medical and nursing services for ALP residents
- Screen, train, supervise, and evaluate Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs) and Personal Care Aides (PCAs)
- Conduct resident assessments and approve admissions based on care needs and staffing availability
- Review, approve, and sign required clinical and regulatory documentation
- Ensure compliance with NYS regulations, policies, and quality assurance standards
- Maintain accurate resident, staff, and program records
- Participate in program development, quality improvement initiatives, and complaint resolution
- Support residents, staff, and program operations across all service areas
- Collaborate with the Administrator on operational planning and care delivery
- Lead by example through professionalism, organization, and consistent follow-up
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Administrator or upper management
- UAS experience would be a huge plus
- Minimum age: 21 years
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Previous experience in home care, ALP, assisted living, or long-term care preferred
- Strong leadership, supervisory, and team-building skills
- Demonstrated ability to motivate, train, and evaluate staff
- Excellent verbal, written, and technical communication skills
- Computer proficiency (Word, spreadsheets, electronic records)
- Highly organized with strong time-management skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment while considering client rights and regulatory requirements
- Professional demeanor when interacting with residents, families, staff, regulators, and the community
