Job Description

Assisted Living is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) / ALP Coordinator to oversee medical services, quality assurance, and nursing coordination within our Assisted Living Program (ALP).

This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality care, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, and resident health oversight while working closely with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate medical and nursing services for ALP residents
  • Screen, train, supervise, and evaluate Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs) and Personal Care Aides (PCAs)
  • Conduct resident assessments and approve admissions based on care needs and staffing availability
  • Review, approve, and sign required clinical and regulatory documentation
  • Ensure compliance with NYS regulations, policies, and quality assurance standards
  • Maintain accurate resident, staff, and program records
  • Participate in program development, quality improvement initiatives, and complaint resolution
  • Support residents, staff, and program operations across all service areas
  • Collaborate with the Administrator on operational planning and care delivery
  • Lead by example through professionalism, organization, and consistent follow-up
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Administrator or upper management
Qualifications
  • UAS experience would be a huge plus
  • Minimum age: 21 years
  • Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Previous experience in home care, ALP, assisted living, or long-term care preferred
  • Strong leadership, supervisory, and team-building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, train, and evaluate staff
  • Excellent verbal, written, and technical communication skills
  • Computer proficiency (Word, spreadsheets, electronic records)
  • Highly organized with strong time-management skills
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment while considering client rights and regulatory requirements
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with residents, families, staff, regulators, and the community
