Job SummaryPerforms and/or oversees a variety of associated administrative, fiscal, staff support, and planning activities, such as budget administration, equipment, facilities, and inventory management, specialized recordkeeping and database management, and specified information‑gathering projects and tasks. Trains and oversees lower graded staff and/or students, and may provide direct administrative support to employees at the level of director, executive director, department chair, associate dean, or above.
Responsibilities- Oversees and/or performs a range of administrative activities for the department or organizational unit, serving as a central liaison with other departments and external constituencies.
- Monitors, reconciles, and assists with fiscal administration, including budgets, funding, grants, contracts, payroll, employment, travel, and purchasing; may assist with fiscal planning and alternative funding sources.
- Creates, composes, and edits technical and/or administrative correspondence and documentation.
- Assists in problem solving, project planning, development, and execution of goals and objectives.
- Researches information, compiles statistics, and gathers data to prepare reports, summaries, or replies to inquiries.
- Schedules appointments, maintains calendars, coordinates meetings, facilities usage, events, and travel arrangements.
- Establishes, updates, and maintains unit files, inventories, and records; implements and maintains data management systems.
- Leads and guides lower‑level staff and supervises student employees; may participate in hiring decisions and performance appraisal.
- Associate Degree.
- Three (3) or more years of related experience.
$20.71 - $25.88 per hour.

- Proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

- Adhere to University policies and procedures to meet institutional goals and support the University's mission for student success.
- Work generally performed in an office environment.
- Workweek may occasionally extend beyond 40 hours.
- Travel may be required.
- May be required to maneuver items weighing up to 25 pounds.
