Georgia Southern University is a large public university offering a diverse range of academic programs. The Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs seeks an Executive Assistant III to provide advanced administrative support to a member of the President's Cabinet.
Job SummaryProvides diversified and advanced administrative support of a substantial and confidential nature to an executive who is a member of the President's Cabinet. The position anticipates the executive's needs, proactively solves problems and independently handles matters of significance.
Responsibilities- Manages calendars, composes correspondence, edits presentations, and handles travel arrangements.
- Serves as liaison to constituents and may represent the executive at meetings.
- Oversees fiscal administration duties, including funding, grants, contracts, payroll, employment, travel, and purchasing, and has budgeting decision‑making authority.
- Administers day‑to‑day office activities, develops policies, procedures, and systems.
- Coordinates projects such as events, conferences, and meetings.
- Collects information, conducts research, and prepares materials for meetings or decision‑making.
- Maintains confidential information related to the executive's office.
- May supervise administrative staff.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Three (3) or more years of related experience.
$24.12 - $30.75 per hour (non‑exempt, paid biweekly).
