The Printing Services Coordinator supports the full production lifecycle of University print projects and serves as a liaison among University departments, Print Shop staff, and external printing vendors. Working directly with the Printing Services Supervisor, this position coordinates print requests from initial consultation through production and delivery, reviews proofs for accuracy and branding compliance, monitors project timelines, and provides professional customer service.
The Coordinator operates and maintains commercial high-speed printers, copiers, finishing equipment, material-handling equipment, and delivery vehicles and uses Canva, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other graphic-design and printing applications to prepare and assist with print production.
Estimate printing jobs and provide administrative support for Print Shop operations Process digital files and prepare print jobs for production using commercial printing, copying, and finishing equipment Review and route print proofs for accuracy, completeness, quality, and compliance with University branding standards Track print requests from initial concept through final delivery and monitor production timelines to ensure jobs remain on schedule Operate and maintain material handling equipment and delivery vehicles.
Be familiar with all design and printing-related computer software. Operate and maintain all commercial high-speed printing and finishing equipment and assist with daily printing and postal operations Serve as a liaison among University departments, Print Shop staff, and external printing vendors Communicate project updates, delays, production issues, and delivery expectations to internal customers and vendors Consult with faculty, staff, and student organizations regarding design layout, paper selection, production options, and project timelines Prioritize and coordinate print requests, including time-sensitive projects requiring same-day completion
