Department InformationThe Department of Communication Arts in the College of Arts and Humanities offers programs in creative, dynamic, and strategic communication fields. Undergraduate options cover media, film and theatre production; graduate options focus on professional communication and leadership.
Job SummaryThe Department of Communication Arts is accepting applications for a pool of part-time faculty positions to support undergraduate programs in Theatre and Film. These positions are on an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses
- Applicants may be asked to teach in various modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, and online)
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications- Masters degree in Theatre, Film, or related area with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Theatre/Film Studies
- Classroom instruction experience in higher education
- Earned MFA in Theatre, Film or related field
- Ability to teach a variety of undergraduate courses
Commensurate with experience. This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
