Compensation Details: COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE

Major Duties
  • Determine the training needs of business and industry within the college's immediate region by conducting visits and establishing relationships with business and industry within the region.
  • Serve as the leader in developing and creating training programs to serve the region – working closely with the Director for Instructional Operations to develop and create training programs.
  • Prepare the training programs' specifications and budget.
  • Establish partnerships with other TCSG colleges to provide industrial operations training.
  • Work closely with the Director for Instructional Operations and the Coordinator for Economic Development Support to maintain the Division's training calendar.
  • Work closely with PR and Marketing and the Coordinator for Economic Development Support to promote these regional training programs to business and industry.
  • Meet the division's goals for regional training hours delivered during the fiscal year.
  • Meet the division's goals for partnership and internship development during the fiscal year.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the Georgia Training Center for Industrial Operations.
  • Establish partnerships with regional employers to support the Industrial Operations Technology Diploma program.
  • Manage the Industrial Operations Technology Diploma Partnership and Internship Programs.
  • Serve as a liaison to local school systems and CTAE staff as it regards recruitment for the Industrial Operations Diploma program.
  • Oversee and promote apprenticeship program(s) for the college.
  • Work closely with the Coordinator for Economic Development Support in maintaining data integrity for the Modern Campus reporting system.
  • Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in business and industry training.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Minimum of five years' experience in a related field
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of community and industry training needs and standards.
  • Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.
  • Knowledge of OSHA Safety Standards.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in custom training design and implementation.
  • Excellent human-relations, interpersonal skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Excellent computer skills.
