Tutor Position
The Student Assistant will support the Department of Student Athlete Services as a Tutor on the Statesboro Campus beginning Fall 2026. The Tutor will provide academic support to student-athletes through individualized and small-group tutoring sessions focused on course content and study strategies. Tutors play a key role in promoting academic success, accountability, and the development of independent learning skills. Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.
Provides one-on-one support to student-athletes in assigned subject areas Submits tutoring sessions that include topics covered, student progress, and any challenges or areas of improvement Communicates regularly with academic support staff regarding student needs, concerns, and progress Shift Specifics Up to 12 hours per week Flexible with schedule of availability
Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.
$14.00 per hour This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
