Armstrong Campus

Armstrong Facility Operations

Lead, motivate, monitor, and oversee team of electricians and electrical foremen to ensure quality work across the University campus. Coordinate day-to-day operations of a group of employees. Assign, monitor and review progress and accuracy of work, directingefforts and providing technical guidance on more complex issues. Useengineering knowledge and methods to support electrical engineering processes and procedures. Supervise electricians to maintain safeand current electrical work to maintain the physical plant of the University.

Assign workload to achieve maximum efficiency in department.

• Provide technical guidance regarding the installation,maintenance and repair of electrical systems
• Supervise installation and maintenance of electrical systems for campus buildings, equipment, electrical fixtures and lighting
• Perform on the job inspections to ensure work meets compliance standards
• Maintain inventory to eliminate down time in production
• Work with campus engineers to ensure electrical blueprints arecircuited correctly and power is available at each location
• Oversee time spent on each job and materials used
• Participate in hiring, orientation, training, and performance evaluation of Department team members
• Verify payroll data and keep track of team members'vacation/annual leave
• Provide guidance regarding the installation, maintenance, andrepair of electrical systems
• Plan and schedule electrical projects

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent post-secondary education/formaltechnical training

• Five (5) or more years of related work experience
• Two (2) or more years of supervisory experience

• Experience in higher education facilities

$31.25 per hour

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
