Clinical Assistant Professor
Reporting to the Chair of the School of Nursing, this non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor requires didactic and/or clinical instruction and coordination of BSN students and/or graduate students in various courses. The position is an academic (10 month), non-tenure track appointment, and the salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Within this setting, the mission of the School of Nursing is to prepare a varied student population to become professional nurses through academic excellence to promote health and enhance the quality of life for citizens in the rural and urban communities they serve.
Required qualifications include an earned doctorate (PhD, EdD, DNP or similar) in nursing or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in nursing by August 1, 2026 for January 2027 start or August 1, 2027 for August 1, 2027 start. Must have an active unencumbered RN license in Georgia by start date. Nurse Practitioner applicants must have national certification and licensure and a Georgia license by start date.
Technological literacy and a commitment to integrate technology into teaching and scholarship. Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives. Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.
Preferred qualifications include demonstrated experience coordinating clinical placements within an academic health professions program. Previous teaching experience at the university level in baccalaureate and/or graduate level nursing education. Experience in online instruction and development, and human simulation. Experience working with a varied student body.
Commensurate with experience. This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
