Job Overview

Cardinal Glass Industries is the largest residential glass provider in the United States, operating 48 facilities nationwide. At Cardinal Glass SBLG, we manufacture laminated and tempered residential glass. We are seeking glass handlers and machine operators to join our team. • Interpret run sheets and verify that lites are the correct size, color, logo, and orientation.
• Build units following standard procedures for sequence and construction.
• Trim excess interlayer according to our standard operating procedure.
• Report discrepancies in trim track and oven speeds to prevent production backups.
• Perform laminate inspections to identify defects such as dirt, chips, and distortion, ensuring quality standards.
• Verify correct logo placement.
• Perform preventative maintenance on the cleanroom, washer, rollers, and other equipment every 4–6 weeks.
• Carry out duties safely using all required personal protective equipment.
• Support safety by maintaining a neat and organized work area, encouraging 5S, sweeping, and clearing glass as necessary.
• May perform other duties or work in other areas as instructed to balance workloads or meet production goals.

• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, organized, positive environment.
• Work well under pressure.
• Take initiative.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic mathematical skills related to measurements.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders.
• Ability to frequently lift glass that may weigh up to 75 lbs individually and 150 lbs with a partner.
• Willingness to work full‑time, 8–10 hour shifts, including night shifts.
• Ability to work in a cold environment.
• Ability to take supervision and follow all policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with operating power tools.
• Attention to detail and good time‑management skills.
