Certification Details
- Travel ER RN position responsible for providing care to Emergency Room patients using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
- Role requires critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care in the Emergency Department.
- Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education.
- Delegates patient care priorities based on education and experience of available staff.
- Provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
Job Details
- Minimum 2+ years of experience required.
- At least 2 previous travel assignments successfully completed.
- ACLS certification required.
- BLS certification required.
- PALS certification required.
- ESI level 5 training required.
- TNCC preferred.
- Cerner experience preferred.
Job Requirements
- Shift: Mids, 12:30 PM to 1:00 AM.
- 36 hours per week.
- 48-hour weekly guarantees are not available.
- Blocked scheduling with attempts to make days as close/block as possible while meeting weekend requirements but cannot guarantee.
- No call required.
- No floating required.
Schedule Information
- Emergency Department unit with 29 beds plus 8 hallway beds.
- Patient ratio is 1 nurse to 4 patients.
- ESI level 5 triage training required.
- TNCC preferred.
Unit Specific Information
- Beds in unit: 29 plus 8 hallways.
- Patient ratios: 1:4.
- Scrub color:
Navy. - EMR system:
Cerner. - RTO blackout dates or required holidays: one major and one minor holiday possible.
- Max RTO:
None as long as FTE and weekend requirements are met. - Scope of role includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices.
- Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes.
