Travel ER RN Start: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights, 4:30p-5a
- 2+ years experience required plus at least 2 previous travel assignments completed successfully
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, ESI level 5 training required
- TNCC preferred
- Cerner experience preferred
The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care of the patient in the Emergency Department; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education;
delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.
- 48hr weekly guarantees are NOT available
- Blocked scheduling:
Will do our best to make days as close/block as possible while meeting weekend requirements but cannot guarantee - Beds in unit: 29 plus 8 hallways
- Patient ratios: 1:4
- No call required
- No floating required
- Scrub color = Navy
- EMR = Cerner
- RTO blackout dates or required holidays: one major and one minor holiday possible
- Max RTO:
None as long as FTE and weekend requirements are met - Scope of role: Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation; responsible for directing, coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices; collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
