Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Mids Shift: 12:30 PM – 1:00 AM
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills and clinical judgment in the anticipation and planning for safe patient care delivery
- Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
- Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
- Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and adherence to established clinical nursing practices
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Georgia
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- At least 2 prior travel assignments completed successfully
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
- ESI Level 5 triage training required
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
- Work in a dynamic Emergency Department environment with a 1:4 patient ratio and no call or floating required
