American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and 2+ completed travel assignments in the specialty.

• Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of the Women's Pavilion, a 13-bed unit with 8 LDRs and 5 triage beds
• Day shift schedule from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM with EOW (every other weekend) requirement
• Floating required between departments within the Women's Pavilion
• Call requirement of two 12-hour call shifts every 6 weeks, with one required to be a weekend shift
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 per AWHONN Staffing Standards
• EMR systems used: CPN (GE) and Cerner
• Care provided across antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care
• Triage responsibilities for patients 20 weeks gestation and up

• Active GA or compact RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
• Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience required
• 2+ previously completed travel assignments in Labor & Delivery required
• CPN and Cerner EMR experience preferred Additional Information
  • Monitor and assist laboring patients while communicating with providers regarding plan of care
  • Circulate for vaginal deliveries with circulating for cesarean deliveries preferred
  • Attend deliveries to support newborn resuscitation and recover vaginal and cesarean delivery patients
  • Provide care to antepartum patients requiring care in the L&D unit
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning safe patient care
  • Delegate patient care priorities and provide direction to assigned personnel as needed
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Block scheduling may be accommodated if weekend requirements are met
  • Minimal RTO accommodated, limited to requests of less than 1 week, contingent on meeting weekend requirements
  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
  • Not eligible if previously employed as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
