Travel Med Surg/Tele RN Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Days, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM, every other weekend, floating required, holidays required. Schedule will vary based on unit needs.

The Travel Med Surg/Tele RN is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role includes collaborating with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes, as well as medication administration using bedside scanning.

• Direct and coordinate all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices.
• Assess and manage Med Surg patients with remote telemetry monitoring.
• Ensure high standards of patient safety and care in a high-acuity environment.
• Float between Med Surg and Tele departments as needed.

• 2+ years of recent experience in an acute care setting required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Recent Cerner charting experience is preferred.
• Completion of 2+ travel assignments required.

• Unit contains 35 beds with a monthly volume of 810 patients.
• Patient ratio is 1:6-7; PCT has 14 patients.
• Types of services include Med Surg, Remote Tele, Ortho, Post-op, CHF, and Respiratory.
• Scrub color is navy blue.
