The Quality Engineer position will launch new products and processes, working closely with the engineering team and customers. This position leads corrective action and continuous improvement activities in collaboration with the company’s quality vision and strategy.
Primary Responsibilities & Duties- Develop and maintain quality specifications for products, materials, equipment and process controls
- Implement methods to inspect, test and evaluate the reliability of manufacturing and Quality processes
- Responsible to investigate internal and external quality issues and drive timely and effective corrective actions for nonconformities
- Work closely with customers to determine quality improvement standards
- Continuously determine quality improvement factors for processes
- Lead the annual IATF Certification process
- Submit first articles, PPAPs and sample parts for customer approvals
- Coordinate training with other functional departments for Quality standards
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering preferred
- Three years of relevant experience
- Certified Quality Engineer or Six Sigma Certification is desirable
- Experience in manufacturing, metal forming, fabrication and welding is a plus
- Strong leadership skills to support and motivate others
- Must possess analytical and problem-solving
- Ability to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with expert level of data analysis in Excel
- Time management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
