Job Description & How to Apply Below

At LEGACY Motor Club, having the right part, in the right place, at the right time matters. We’re looking for a Purchasing & Inventory Manager to lead our stores and purchasing function and help ensure our NASCAR Cup Series teams have what they need to perform at the highest level.

This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who understands that great inventory management is about more than counting parts. You’ll build strong processes, lead a small team, partner closely with race and shop operations, and take ownership of purchasing, inventory accuracy and supplier performance.

Why This Role Matters

In racing, inventory isn’t sitting on a shelf—it’s supporting the next car build, the next race and the next opportunity to perform.

If you’re a hands‑on leader who enjoys building strong systems, solving problems and operating in an environment where precision, speed and accountability matter every day
, we’d like to hear from you.

What You’ll Own
  • Lead and develop our stores team and day‑to‑day parts operations.
  • Manage purchasing and procurement of race car components, parts and operational supplies.
  • Build and maintain a disciplined parts scanning and ERP‑integrated inventory process
    .
  • Drive inventory accuracy through cycle counting, physical inventories and strong inventory controls.
  • Establish appropriate stocking levels and reorder points for critical components.
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and lead times, and address quality or delivery issues.
  • Partner with race engineers, fabricators, operations and Finance to anticipate needs, manage costs and keep parts moving.
  • Use Microsoft Dynamics or a comparable ERP system to improve inventory visibility, purchasing processes and reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and strengthen supply continuity.
What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing, inventory or materials management,
ideally in motorsports, automotive or a high‑performance manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading and developing a team.
  • Strong ERP experience with Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, Net Suite or a comparable system.
  • Hands‑on experience with barcode/parts scanning systems integrated with an ERP
    .
  • Strong knowledge of cycle counting, inventory reconciliation and physical inventory controls.
  • Proven supplier management and negotiation experience.
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills.
  • A highly organized, detail‑oriented approach and the ability to perform in a fast‑moving, deadline‑driven environment.
Even Better If You Bring
  • Experience in NASCAR or professional motorsports, knowledge of Next Gen components and NASCAR suppliers, lean inventory or demand‑planning experience, or an APICS CPIM/CSCP certification.
