ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
* Seek out, interview and screen applicants to fill existing openings while maintaining current knowledge of transportation laws, ?
DOT regulations, and Company hiring criteria, as well as maintaining and promoting Company safety goals.
* Interview, gather and analyze information skillfully to obtain complete application and pre-qualify applicants.
* Reviews applications and qualifications to meet the Company and DOT requirements for the driver position.
* Coordinates the onboarding, orientation and training of new drivers to ensure assigned drivers are properly trained in company policies and procedures.
* Conducts pre-qualification Ride-Alongs with driver candidates to capture data on driver performance, driver safety checks, and customer serviceability.
* Responsible for reporting and monitoring applicant flow and the applicant tracking process from initial meetings with candidates until the orientation and training process is complete.
* Monitors the status of candidate qualification through the training process. Communicates the status to dispatch and driver management through the entire process.
* Advises management on hiring trends affecting recruiting performance.
* Ensures proper maintenance of Driver Qualification File (DQF) process of newly assigned drivers.
* Ensures all departmental required forms and documents are completed in a timely basis.
* Follows all workplace processes and standards.
* Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor Degree in management, transportation or a related field is preferred or combination of Associates Degree and Experience.? Two to five years recruitment experience preferred.? Five years experience as a DOT certified driver.? Must have current CDL.
SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
Must possess strong interpersonal skills.? Must demonstrate good communication skills both written and oral. Must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects. Must possess excellent personal computer skills and having working knowledge of Microsoft Office products software i.e.;
Word, Outlook, and Excel.? Experience in TMW and? Peoplenet or similar is preferred. Extensive knowledge in Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and CTPAT.
