CAD Designer III

Location:

Staunton, VA – Hybrid, 3‑4 days in office

• Create engineering documentation including Solidworks modeling, fabrication, and purchase drawings that conform to Daikin standards.
• Translate engineering/marketing intent into manufacturing documentation.
• Work with Marketing/Sales to provide documentation for original designs or custom modifications of current products to meet weekly production schedules.
• Exhibit a sense of design and mechanical aptitude with abstract thinking and reasoning skills.
• Demonstrate creative ability, accuracy, and cost effectiveness.
• Complete work assignments within determined time frame and use judgment in determining assignment goals.
• Gain knowledge of design and manufacturing practices, processes, and Daikin products.
• Demonstrate an understanding of legacy bill of material systems and product structuring logic.
• Be part of and function in a team environment including cross‑functional and inter‑departmental teams.

• Vocational or Technical Degree in Design/Drafting or Equivalent Experience.
• 4‑6 years related design experience.
• Experience in sheet metal design and/or HVAC products is desired.
• Ability to travel (10% or less of the time).

Typical annual base salary ranges from $31.73 - $52.29 USD per hour in VA. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
