Credit Analyst - Staunton, VA

, one of The Caton Companies, provides affordable financing for purchasing new and used manufactured homes and rent-to-own sheds. We have an exciting opportunity for a Credit Analyst at our corporate office in Staunton, Virginia.

The primary function of the Credit Analyst is to ensure the timely and accurate processing of all loan applications received by Park Lane.

Preference will be given to candidates with fluency in English and Spanish.

• Process mortgage applications by entering data into loan origination software, pulling credit reports, obtaining insurance and tax quotes, and other information necessary to process the application
• Contact applicants and sellers regarding applications
• Reviews the loan application and attached documentation for completeness and accuracy
• Maintain folders/files/records in an organized manner
• Follow all state and federal lending laws
• File, scan, and organize applicant and borrower paper and electronic files
• Create and mail required early disclosures
• Answer phones in a polite and courteous manner
• Performing a general evaluation of applications (financial documents, mortgage type, etc.)
• Gather all important missing data from applicants
• Correct mistakes and investigate inconsistencies
• Submit completed loan files to MLO for review
• Responsible for ensuring that all loan documentation is complete accurate verified and complies with company policy.
• Perform other tasks as may be assigned by supervisor

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree
• Mortgage Industry or retail banking (loan processing) a plus
