Western State Hospital is seeking a full time Certified Dietary Manager (CDM)/Kitchen Manager/Food Service Manager I to oversee food service operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and supporting high‑quality nutritional care. This position will manage tasks such as information intake, Net Menu system administration, and other responsibilities within the CDM scope of practice; collaborate with Registered Dietitians (RDs) to ensure accurate meal planning and delivery, supporting RDs’ roles in evaluating patients’ nutritional status, providing medical nutrition therapy, and implementing individualized nutrition care plans;

ensure efficient kitchen operations and accurate menu management; maintain administration and Human Resource Functions in the department; and play a critical role in promoting patient health and recovery in a safe, therapeutic environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential.
• Experience in food service operations, including food preparation, sanitation, inventory management, and tray assembly.
• Supervisory experience in a food service setting.
• Proficiency in managing food service software systems, including CBORD/Net Menu.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to work with databases and spreadsheets.
• Knowledge of food ordering, purchasing, receiving, and storage procedures.
