Summary:
The Scheduler is responsible for prioritizing orders and deciding how the facility’s resources (equipment, materials, & people) will be efficiently utilized to produce each order and deliver on time. The Scheduler must be knowledgeable about the equipment, materials, and technologies used in the Folding Carton Industry. The Scheduler needs to communicate effectively with a variety of department managers and be able to lead others even though he/she does not have any direct reports.
Functions
- Receives orders from Customer Service Representative (CSR) team and after reviewing backlogs & raw material availability, develops an efficient production schedule & establishes the commit date
- Monitors daily production activity and works to maintain our commit dates by communicating with production managers and re‑sequencing jobs
- Alerts management and CSR if commit dates are in jeopardy
- Offers solutions to optimize production flow (crewing, OT, outsourcing, etc.)
- Daily maintenance of ASI Schedule Board by loading & completing jobs
- Daily distribution of production schedules to department managers
- Lead daily Order Status / Expedite Meeting with CSRs
- Monitors customer warehoused inventory levels to minimize company investment and maintain customer delivery schedules
- Review sales forecast with Services Manager, Sales and CSRs to develop efficient run cycles
- Serve as back up paperboard materials analyst
- Collaborates with Capacity Planning to validate forecasts
- Publishes weekly backlog reports
- Coordinates timing of shipments with outsource vendors
- Works directly with Sales Leadership to problem solve Tier One accounts in the schedule
- Assist Finance with monthly job closing
- Actively participate in meetings
- Performs other duties as assigned

Pay Range: $53,400.00 - $66,700.00
