Material Handler

Our Staunton, VA facility is looking for a Material Handler for Cutting department. This position will be responsible for maintaining product flow from the printing department to the die cutting department.

• Check load tags and job jackets
• Check condition of material
• Remove product from printing department in an organized fashion
• Place product in die cutting staging area in an organized fashion
• Operate the aerator to prepare loads for die cutting.
• Operation/maintenance of forklift trucks and pallet jacks
• Ensure that prescribed safety measures are followed
• Comply with company policies, procedures, rules and regulations
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Maintain product flow from the cutting department to the finishing department

Ideally the individual that would be a strong fit for this position would have some of the following knowledge/skills and abilities;

• Proficient in reading required paperwork
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
• Thorough knowledge of safety regulations, occupational hazards and related safety precautions in the work
• Operate an electrical and manual pallet jack

• Manual Pallet Jack Operation
• Electrical Pallet Jack Operation
