Welder, 2nd Shift

Job Overview

Position at Daikin Applied in Staunton, VA. 2nd shift (Monday–Friday, 1:50pm–9:50pm). Starting wage $28.00 per hour plus a $2.30 shift differential.

• Read, interpret, understand, and work from blueprints, schematics, bills of material, routing sheets, labor summaries, and other written, electronic, or verbal instruction.
• Work with a variety of ferrous, non‑ferrous and alloy materials.
• Operate fabrication, handling, manipulation, and movement tools and welders on chiller product.
• Perform work within and have working knowledge of ASME Code regulations.
• Use measuring devices and visual inspection to ensure quality of product and conformity to prints, work instructions, and standards.
• Maintain required records.

• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for the majority of the shift, and work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE.
• Ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• High school education or GED, or minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
