Production Supervisor, 1st shift

Daikin Applied is seeking a 1st shift Production Supervisor.

Location:

Staunton, VA – In‑Office.

• Monitor production activities to eliminate delays and ensure adherence to production and shipping schedules.
• Assist in carrying out production objectives at the lowest cost, consistent with the organization's quality requirements.
• Assure safety and product quality while improving production procedures.
• Coordinate workflow with the various departments involved.
• Report damaged and defective equipment to management.
• Train other employees in day‑to‑day procedures.
• Maintain quality/quantity standards regarding output.
• Analyze work orders to estimate working hours and create machining schedules that meet both internal and external needs.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assign duties.
• Plan the flow of materials through department according to work orders.
• Interface with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
• Inspect and measure parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.
• Direct workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products that fail to meet standards.
• Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
• Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.
• Maintain time and production records.
• Assist with capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle times.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of direct supervisory experience (preferred).

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $66,000 to $108,800 in VA.
