Rogers Group is seeking candidates for an Equipment Operator position for our Virginia SMA operations in Staunton, VA
. The successful candidate for this role will have experience operating various pieces of heavy equipment – excavator, dozer, track hoe, loader, haul truck, and skid steer, and others. This individual will also be required to work on the ground and in the plant. They must have a strong commitment to safety excellence.

• Wages starting at $21.00 for entry level candidates. Some positions require no experience and Rogers Group will train.
• Higher pay for skilled operators of heavy equipment with quarry and mining experience. Overtime available and extensive medical and retirement benefits.

• Willing and able to work on the ground and in the plant as needed.
• Able and willing to assist with fixed plant maintenance.
• Must be able to operate heavy equipment with precision and excellence in a variety of terrains and conditions.
• Performing various production duties.
• Complete required daily inspections, light maintenance, greasing, and fueling of heavy equipment.
• May be called upon at the discretion of management to perform any other duties assigned and/or assist other areas as necessary.

• Must have a dedication to safe work practices.
• At least two years of proficient experience operating heavy equipment preferred.
• Experience operating various pieces of heavy equipment – excavator, dozer, track hoe, loader, haul truck, skid steer, and others.
• Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.
