Location:

Staunton, VA - In-Office Shift: 2nd shift

Your Responsibilities:
  • Monitor production activities to eliminate delays and ensure adherence to production and shipping schedules
  • Assist in carrying out production objectives at the lowest cost, consistent with the organization's quality requirements
  • Assure safety and product quality while improving production procedures
  • Coordinate workflow with the various departments involved
  • Report damaged and defective equipment to management
  • Train other employees in day-to-day procedures
  • Maintain quality/quantity standards regarding output
  • Analyze work orders to estimate working hours and create machining schedules that meet both internal and external needs
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assign duties
  • Plan the flow of materials through department according to work orders
  • Interface with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met
  • Inspect and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications
  • Direct workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products that fail to meet standards
  • Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules
  • Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
  • Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew
  • Analyze and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems
  • Maintain time and production records
  • Assist with capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle times
  • Other duties as assigned
Your

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (preferred)
  • 3+ years of direct supervisory experience (preferred)

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $66,000 to $108,800 in VA. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
