Residential Lead Carpenter / Remodeling Project Lead

This role focuses on leading residential construction and remodeling projects from start to finish
. The Lead Carpenter serves as the on-site project leader, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining clear communication with homeowners and the internal team.

About the Role

The Residential Lead Carpenter is responsible for managing daily project activity while performing skilled carpentry work on high-end residential projects. This role leads installations, ensures projects stay on schedule, and maintains quality control on-site. The position works closely with homeowners, project managers, and other trades to deliver a finished product that reflects the company's commitment to craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.

Projects may include residential remodels, structural carpentry, trim work, framing, drywall repair, and finish carpentry. Successful candidates are organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking the lead on job sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead residential remodeling and carpentry projects from start to finish while maintaining high craftsmanship standards.
  • Perform framing, finish carpentry, drywall repair, trim installation, and structural repairs in residential homes.
  • Interpret construction plans, sketches, and specifications to execute work accurately.
  • Coordinate daily job site activities and ensure work follows proper construction sequencing.
  • Maintain a safe job site and follow OSHA and company safety guidelines.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Use and maintain power tools and carpentry equipment safely and effectively.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of carpentry experience with strong knowledge of residential construction and remodeling.
  • Experience working in custom residential homes or higher-end residential environments preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and project specifications.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and job site safety practices.
  • Comfortable leading work on-site and ensuring projects stay organized and on schedule.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with power tools and saws regularly.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
