As an Apartment Maintenance Technician at Big Sky Apartments in Staunton, VA, you will be a key member of our team assisting the Maintenance Supervisor and ensuring our property is in top-notch physical condition, inside and out. A typical day could include plumbing, electrical, basic drywall, carpet, and appliance repairs, plus common area and exterior maintenance and repairs, respond to after-hours emergencies, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents.

Key responsibilities include performing and overseeing maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpet, and appliance repairs; maintaining common areas and exteriors to the highest standards; responding to after-hours emergencies (on-call rotation required); delegating tasks to maintenance assistants and ensuring timely completion; maintaining accurate records for work orders, parts, inventory, and service follow-up; fostering a positive, customer-focused environment for residents and team members;

participating in ongoing training and mentorship through "The Park Academy"; and other duties as assigned.

We're looking for a caring attitude, pride in your work, and commitment to high performance; self-motivation, hard work, and high energy; experience in apartment maintenance or related field preferred; HVAC certification preferred; skilled in using power tools and basic technology (computers/tablets); good people skills, friendly and helpful attitude; ability to lift/carry up to 75 lbs. frequently; strong record-keeping and organizational skills;

valid driver's license; rotating after-hours on-call availability and weekends.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening.

Pay: $24.00 per hour
