We are currently seeking an experienced full-time Cook to join our dedicated dietary team. You will lead the preparation of nutritious, high-quality meals and manage full-cycle catering events. The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, who excels in a "clean-as-you-go" workspace and is committed to food service excellence.

What You’ll Do:

This position is full-time, Monday - Friday, may include some weekends and evenings.

Prepare assigned meals for staff and patients following HACCP guidelines.

Serves the hot portion of the patient’s meal according to the patient’s diet and other personal preferences.

Responsible for timely set up, food preparation, service, and clean-up of catered meals.

Maintains a clean, orderly work area, following a clean as you go policy.

Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal, medical and financial information per HIPAA.

What You’ll Need:

Two years of cooking experience (restaurant, school, hospital, etc.) preferred.

Current Marion County Health Department Food Service Handler’s Card.

Knowledge of the principles of the work involved.

Must be able to communicate effectively and have excellent interpersonal skills.

Knowledge and use of computers preferred.

Must be highly motivated.

Willingness to participate in Hospital orientation and educational in-service
