Job Summary

Machine Operator I is responsible for the set up and operation of a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Secures and maintains material and supplies required for the operation.

• Complete work area set up.
• Operate and feed the machine safely and efficiently, following established procedures.
• Stack completed products in accordance with established procedures; cover, label, and band components or finished products if required.
• Ensure the work area is safe, clean, and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Complete pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklist and report any problems or concerns.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintain production records as required.
• Check materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
• Perform duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participate in safety, continuous improvement, and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum six months of experience in manufacturing and/or assembling.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
