- ** DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
** The Family Birth Unit is on the second floor of the patient tower and includes:
* One triage room
* 5 spacious Labor and Delivery suites
* Two with labor tubs
* One OR
* Newborn Nursery--
- ** RESPONSIBILITIES
* * The
** Registered Nurse (RN)
** provides safe, high quality, direct and indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process to care for mothers and their newborns.
* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with diverse population and possess personal sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others with a non-judgmental attitude.
* Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks and appropriately adapt to diverse and high-risk situations to offer the best possible care to patients.
* Ability to manage time in an organized fashion, planning and prioritizing work under pressure.## Qualifications
** EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS
*** Current unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of Oregon
* Healthcare Provider Level BLS
* ACLS and NRP required within six months of hire
* Minimum of 2 years experience in Labor, Delivery, Postpartum nursing--
