LOCATION: Red Built LLC - Stayton Plant

Hourly Rate: $28.60

As we continue to grow, we are currently looking for a Quality Assurance & Research summer intern. This internship offers hands on experience in quality assurance, industry research, and process improvement. Interns will work directly with the QA Supervisor on real-world projects involving product testing, data analysis, and continuous improvement.

The internship will culminate in a final project presented to plant leadership.

• Learn the manufacturing process and plant quality systems
• Support research and continuous improvement projects related to product quality and process control
• Assist in designing, conducting, and documenting technical research projects
• Perform routine QA testing on raw materials and finished products
• Monitor manufacturing processes and identify potential improvement opportunities
• Gain experience with manufacturing standards and QA procedures
• Complete and present an independent research or continuous improvement project at the end of the internship

• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Basic data analysis and computer skills (Excel required, database or Python experience is a plus)
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in a technical field
• Self-motivated, able to work independently on assigned tasks
• Math and statistics skills/understanding
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Physically able to manipulate heavy and/or awkward test material/equipment
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.

• Pursuing a degree in Wood Science, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or a related technical field
• Previous work experience in a lab
• Project management experience
• Any experience in computer programming
