What you’ll be doing
As a member of the Personal and Business Banking team, you’ll work in a fast‑paced Banking Centre where you’ll help clients achieve their financial goals. In the role of Associate Financial Advisor, you’ll build deep understanding of personal and small business clients and recommend simple, personalized solutions.
How you’ll succeed- Client engagement – Meet with clients to understand priorities, advise solutions and provide a forward‑looking financial plan, ensuring investment, financial and credit needs are met.
- Relationship building – Engage in marketing and outreach, grow your network, deepen relationships and collaborate with the team to connect clients to the right opportunities.
- Business development – Network with clients’ families and friends, uncover opportunities and refer to partners; call existing and potential clients to identify future growth; participate in community and centre events.
- Leveraging technology – Become a technology expert, introduce clients to mobile banking apps and help them manage their banking needs.
- Customer‑focused, purpose‑driven and goal oriented.
- Meticulous, detail oriented and critical thinker.
- Passionate about people and building relationships.
- Strong curiosity and desire to learn and grow.
- 2–3 years experience providing financial advice and achieving sales results through advice‑based conversations.
- Certified professional: current accreditation and good standing in Mutual Funds License (Canadian Securities Course or Investment Funds in Canada).
- Current accreditation and good standing in CFSA (Certificate of Financial Services Advice) is an asset.
- Must meet eligibility requirements for MFDA licensing.
- Designated Financial Services Advisor (DFSA) designation obtained through the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI).
