The Pharmacy Manager is accountable for ensuring compliance with all applicable OCP standards, as well as provincial and federal regulations governing the practice of pharmacy. In this role, you will oversee team scheduling, new hire training, and adherence to operational processes that drive the achievement of team goals. Role Accountabilities:

  • Ensures disciplined adherence to Care Rx SOPs, Lean processes, best practices, KPIs, and all regulatory requirements (e.g., Health Canada audits, narcotic controls).
  • Makes sound operational decisions within established frameworks, escalating new ideas and innovations through the proper channels.
  • Identifies and removes bottleneck processes while maintaining focused, consistent execution to meet customer needs.
  • Balances the requirements of customers, employees, and the business while effectively managing staffing levels and resources.
  • Provides leadership to the prescription fulfillment, packaging, and verification department by:
    Managing weekly prescription batch schedules Optimizing use of robotic and optical verification technologies Using analytics and metrics to improve efficiency Investigating production, correction, or verification incidents
  • Recruits, trains, and develops employees through onboarding, cross-training, and continuous coaching, while fostering growth with constructive feedback.
  • Demonstrates resilience under pressure, effectively resolving conflicts and challenges, and clearly communicating the rationale behind decisions.

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacy.
  • Proven leadership with strong team building, delegation, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to remain fair and unbiased.

  • Highly organized, self-directed, and accountable, with strong critical thinking, prioritization, and time management abilities.
