What You’ll Do

As a Commercial Lines Sales Broker, you’ll play a pivotal role in business development and client retention. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and manage a personal book of business by prospecting, networking, and identifying opportunities across mid-market commercial clients.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and carriers, building strong, consultative relationships.

  • Analyze risks and exposures
    , create marketing specifications, and secure competitive quotes for both new and renewal business.

  • Negotiate rates and terms with carriers to meet client needs and close deals efficiently.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to prepare compelling proposals and presentations.

  • Ensure accurate documentation
    , invoicing, policy issuance, endorsements, and follow-up on claims.

  • Track renewals and timelines to ensure proactive service delivery and client satisfaction.

  • What You Bring to the Team

  • Proven experience in Commercial Lines insurance sales and servicing

  • A self-starter mentality with a hunger for success and growth

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – written, verbal, and client-facing

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities

  • Proficiency in sales processes, insurance documentation, and CRM systems

  • RIBO license in good standing (mandatory)

  • Additional industry designations such as CIP, CAIB, or CRM are an asset
